My Intuitive GPS

Apr 29, 2019

In my 20’s I was living in Chicago and would drive a short route home from downtown that took me past Cabriini Green, a notoriously dangerous housing project (hey, I was young and invincible! Not to mention naive.) One night I was going home late from work and suddenly got the “feeling” that I should go a different way - through the lively nightlife area Old Town.

In the middle of my drive, my tire went flat!

What if I had taken my usual route, past gangs, drug dealers and guns? I was very lucky that I was available for that intuitive information, and actually listened to it.  This was long before I studied energy healing and worked to develop reliable access to this kind of information.

In energy healing school, my fellow students and I were a bit shocked when our teacher said she took her guides grocery shopping. How banal! Later I started to understand the value of intuitive information in everyday life.

Fast forward some years (before Google Maps!) – I was driving into Jackson Wyoming late at night, in the off-season when many businesses are closed. Desperate for dinner, I remembered a good Thai restaurant but had no idea where it was. So, at every stop sign and light I asked, "Left, Right, or Straight"? After making several turns, I arrived just before closing, in time for take-out. Not knowing the town at all, I was happy - and impressed.

Once my cat brought a baby bunny into the house; fortunately, it was unhurt (but terrorized!) and I managed to catch it. Where to let it go? As I walked into my yard I asked and was taken to a spot in the grass several feet away. Even though I wondered – “Why this spot?” I trusted and let the bunny go. Viola! It disappeared down a hole less than a foot away, one so small I had never noticed it.

Now that may seem like a small matter, but it warmed my heart.

The difference between the first example and the next two? I learned how to have intuition on call for myself (and my clients). There are other ways to approach getting intuitive information, like kinesiology or a pendulum, but those can be cumbersome and awkward in the moment.  I consider them training wheels – nice to start with, but at some point unnecessary.

Anyone can learn how to develop and use this ability productively without unnecessary steps. I use this skill all the time, whether it’s what supplements I should be taking, time frames for projects, who is the right person for a particular job, pricing real estate… the list goes on. It’s invaluable information, and in most situations I use it in combination with practical and emotional preferences.

You don’t have to wait for those spontaneous “ah ha” moments. As you develop your relationship to the world of intuition and guidance, it is there whenever you need it. It helps to have a technique start that process – to drop in and be available for that information.  Using this technique is also the starting point to sensing specific energy in the body during a healing.

Want to learn to do this for yourself?

Join me for my webinar and I’ll show you how to “drop in”, and when you are on the right track to getting information you can trust! I’ll also share about why this skill is the difference between specific and non-specific energy healing modalities and is critical to being a great healer.
