Whether it’s family, friends or just shopping, we’re out and more social during the holidays. That means we have lots of opportunities to observe the diversity – and similarities - of human nature.

One of the greatest things about Energy Signatures is that you can guess a person’s main energy type just by looking at their body. After all, the physical body is merely our densest energy body. Someone’s proportions, shape and other physical features give us clues to their energetic patterns.

You could sit in a coffee shop and guess their energy type(s) based on those observations. When you watch them interact, it’s more information that can confirm your guess. Funny how us humans can be so predictable – and at the same time totally individual.

Some examples from a coffee shop:

1) They stand with a lot of their weight shifted to one side. They get to the counter to order and are still deciding. They don’t hear their name being called because they’re looking at merch.
Answer: Priest. One shoulder higher (left/right imbalance). Confirmed by: distracted, indecisive.

2) They are carrying a briefcase and talking on their phone, barely noticing the barista while giving their order. They’re still talking as they take their coffee and walk out the door.
Answer: Warrior. Broad shoulders (top/bottom imbalance). Confirmed by: brusque and self-absorbed.

3) Dressed casually, they seem anxious to get back to work. Another customer in a rush asks to go first; they graciously agree. They offer to fill the empty napkin holder while waiting.
Answer: Gardener. Square torso, solid build. Confirmed by: puts the needs of others ahead of their own; helpful without being asked.

4) Stylishly dressed and with a friendly smile, they ask the barista about their day or if it’s more crowded than usual. Waiting, they watch hopefully as drinks are being made and others get their orders first.
Answer: Lover. Attractive, with attention getting features. Confirmed by: engaging and observing, they don’t want to be left out as they eagerly await their treat.

5) The manager is bustling around, restocking supplies, asking and answering staff questions, wiping down and straightening up an area – all the while with a sharp eye out for mistakes.
Answer: Royal. Symmetrical, well-proportioned body, precisely groomed. Confirmed by: very efficient and in charge - not bossy or overly friendly.

I talk energy types all the time! They’re helpful insights; a way to understand people initially and have more positive, productive interactions. Someone will tell me about a job interview they had with a Royal (rule-bound), or a date that was clingy (Lover) or controlling (Warrior). Other discussions revolve around co-workers, family members or friends. My daughter once called me out for ignoring a woman who said “Merry Christmas” as I was checking out at the store! (I’m a Warrior-Priest, in one of those not-best moments.)
